Ramada by Wyndham Hancock Waterfront

Great location if snowmobiling. Sits right off the trail. ALS right on the river, great views! Breakfast was great.

I had a great stay at the Ramada except for the group of obnoxious snowmobilers that took over the hotel for the entire week. The front desk woman, Brandi, did all she could to try to keep things pleasant for everyone but they wouldn’t calm down for anything. They were drunk and belligerent every day I was there. No one could use the lobby for anything. I wanted to play cards with my boyfriend but there wasn’t a single table available. Brandi was nice enough to let us use a room off to the side to play cards but within 10 minutes the snowmobilers were also in there yelling and being loud so we went to our room and gave up. We did appreciate her trying to help us find a place to just play cards. If we hadn’t had a prepaid stay we would’ve left. Other than those people the rooms were nice and clean and breakfast was very good. I’ve just never been at a hotel where a group of people were able to take the entire place over and ruin everyone else’s stay.

The staff was awesome, the rooms were nice. The only negative was they were having hot tub issues. The manager, Brandi, was very helpful and responded to all our needs.

Wonderful stay here. Everything was excellent - the room was very nice, clean and the beds very comfortable. There were two clerks working the evening we checked in and they were both very personable, helpful and professional. They gave us a very good first impression! The breakfast was very nice. Lots of variety and once again, the staff was so friendly and helpful. And the location was excellent. After we got settled we sat outside by the water and enjoyed the view! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

This hotel is right on the canal. They have an amazing housekeeping staff and front desk staff. They are also right on the snowmobile/ATV UTV trails so it is very convenient to stay here if you plan on riding in the summer or the winter.

Dana was fantastic. She had great energy and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She made check-in an enjoyable experience. The tea selection was great and it was nice they kept the juice and water machine running in the evening. The rooms were pretty standard and were clean. The hotel is a nice location on the water and an easy walk across the bridge to bars and restaurants in Houghton. Towels are thin and uncomfortable. Unfortunately for the kid, the pool was temporarily closed for maintenance and the jets in the hot tub did not work.

I had a wonderful stay at Ramada Hotel on the Water Front, Houghton, Michigan. I actually stop by for one night. I was here on business. It was so beautiful and peaceful and the staff was so friendly, I ended up saying another night. I was also quite impressed with how clean and neat the rooms were, l like that! The riverfront view was breathtaking. This was definitely one of my best days. Thank you Laura and staff at the front desk, l had a wonderful time chatting with you about places to dine and eat at. Two nights of snow. Very clean room, friendly staff that work very hard to keep the parking area and floors clean and safe. Good breakfast, room coffee is exceptional.
